Sugar and Spice Colorado features the work of a mother-daughter team, Dayna and Christa.
Christa is a Colorado native, and finds herself drawn back to this beautiful state whenever she tries to leave!

She wandered into a bead shop and made her first pair of earrings at age 12, and has been passionate about jewelry-making ever since. She makes each one-of-a-kind piece of Sugar and Spice Colorado jewelry and beaded hair accessories by hand.

Christa & Dayna
Dayna is originally from New Orleans, but considers herself a Coloradan as she has lived in the state for more than half of her life.

Her favorite craft is crochet, which she learned from her great-grandmother around the age of 9. She tried to knit a pair of socks at one point but decided crochet was more her thing. She created all of the crocheted accessories you find in the shop.
Christa took sewing lessons when she was in middle school, and recently was inspired to get back into sewing when she came up with the pattern for the Vail Bag to take on vacation. She has since gotten a reputation for turning thrifted sheets into dresses.

Dayna started sewing in high school, when she decided to re-create a skirt that she wanted but was too expensive. She sewed outfits for her children when they were little, and now sews purses for Sugar and Spice Colorado.
